Nwaojei Christian
Senior Associate, Investment Advisory
Christian has extensive years of industry experience spanning commercial banking, development finance, private equity and venture capital across East and West Africa, and with a strong blend of investment expertise, portfolio management skills, and a track record of structuring impactful transactions across Sub-Sahara Africa.
He started his career in Oceanic Bank International Plc as a relationship officer and later joined Ecobank Nigeria as a business relationship officer following the latter’s acquisition of the former. From Ecobank, he joined GroFin, a private development finance institution headquartered in Mauritius, as an investment manager. He later joined Chapel Hill Denham SME Ltd (SMENG), carrying on the same role as an Investment Manager. From Chapel Hill, he joined Africa Plus Partners Nigeria Ltd (APPNL) as the Head of Asset Operations Management, and responsible for managing all infrastructure portfolio assets of the Africa Infra-Plus Funds 1 & 2. From APPNL, he joined VestedWorld, a US-based VC firm with investment focus on East and West Africa, and was the first point of contact for potential VestedWorld’s investees in West Africa as well as managing portfolios in both regions.
Over the course of his career, Christian has structured several impactful transactions across different sectors including renewable energy and managed the portfolios to successful exits. His key competencies include but not limited to deal origination, viability analysis, deal structuring, project finance, financial modelling and portfolio management.
Christian holds a BSc. in Business Administration from University of Benin, and an MSc. in Finance from University of Lagos.
Christian currently works in the investment unit of AllOn Partnerships for Energy Access as a Senior Investment Associate.
