Demand Aggregation for Renewable Technology (DART) Program
Nigerian impact investment company All On, Odyssey Energy Solutions, and the recently launched Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (The Alliance) have announced the launch of a global aggregated procurement program termed as the DART Program for renewable energy companies, supported by a $10 million Financing Facility, in Nigeria. The Demand Aggregation for Renewable Technology (DART) Program combines demand pooling and aggregated purchasing of solar equipment, access to affordable finance, and coordinated logistics to unlock economies of scale for solar companies, achieve cost savings for end-users, and accelerate the growth of the renewable energy sector in Nigeria and beyond.
Partners of DART and their roles?
All On, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (The Alliance) and Odyssey Energy Solutions.
Fund Management: All On will manage the facility through its existing operating governance framework, in coordination with other participants within the DART program.
Demand Aggregation: Odyssey is responsible for aggregating the orders from developers, negotiating minimum order quantity, volume and pricing terms with selected suppliers and thereafter places bulk orders on behalf of successful program applicants.
Program Financing: All On and The Alliance have each provided $5m to operationalize the DART Program.
