All On Celebrates a Decade of Impact with All On at 10 Hackathon, Inspiring the Next Generation of Clean Energy Innovators.
Celebrating a decade of advancing energy access in Nigeria, All On brought together students from leading tertiary institutions for the All On at 10 Hackathon, challenging them to develop bold, scalable solutions to some of Nigeria's most pressing energy access and sustainable development challenges.
Held as part of All On's 10th anniversary celebrations, the Hackathon brought together students from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos State University (LASU), and Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). Participants were organised into six multidisciplinary teams, combining diverse skills and perspectives to design and pitch innovative clean energy solutions addressing challenges across healthcare, education, agriculture, fisheries, cold-chain logistics, and productive use of energy.
Designed to encourage innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship, the All On at 10 Hackathon challenged participants to develop solutions that were not only technically sound, but also commercially viable, financially sustainable, digitally enabled, and capable of delivering meaningful social impact. Throughout the day, the teams refined their ideas through intensive collaboration before presenting their solutions to a panel of judges comprising experts from the renewable energy and innovation ecosystem.
At the end of the competition, Current Creators emerged as the winning team with ColdLink, an integrated digital platform designed to improve the efficiency of renewable-powered cold-chain logistics. Combining real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, fleet management, and energy performance tracking, the solution demonstrated how digital innovation can strengthen cold-chain operations, reduce post-harvest losses, and improve the long-term sustainability of clean energy-powered infrastructure.
Commenting on the initiative, Caroline Eboumbou, Chief Executive Officer of All On, said:
"For the past ten years, All On has invested in businesses and partnerships that are expanding access to clean energy and creating opportunities across Nigeria. As we celebrate this milestone, it is equally important to invest in the people who will shape the future of the sector."
Entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges comprising Bolanle Adesan, Dr. James Ogunleye, Henry Bassey, and Babajide (Jide) Sokeye, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Associate at All On. Drawing on expertise spanning renewable energy, sustainability, innovation, and enterprise development, the judges assessed each solution based on innovation, technical feasibility, commercial viability, scalability, and potential for social impact.
As All On celebrates a decade of expanding energy access across Nigeria, the All On at 10 Hackathon reflects its belief that the next decade of impact will be shaped not only by the investments it makes, but also by the innovators it inspires. By creating opportunities for young people to develop practical solutions to real-world challenges, All On is helping build the talent, ideas, and leadership that will drive Nigeria's clean energy future.
