Investment Operations Associate
Sominabo is passionate about providing access to energy for rural and under-served communities. He has been responsible for the deployment of over 3.5 Megawatts peak (MWp) mini-grid projects across Nigeria.
At All-On, he is responsible for providing technical support and recommending Engineering best practices for All-On Investees as they deliver on their mandate in providing access to energy. He is also responsible for providing support to the Investment team in carrying out due diligence for new investments.
Prior to joining All-On, he was Manager, Technical Projects for Zola Electric where he developed systems and processes for deploying Zola’s hybrid solar energy systems globally, in collaboration with the global engineering team.
Prior to Zola Electric, he was the Commercial Manager for Beacon Power Services where he leveraged the BPS proprietary energy management technology platform to create sustainable consumer facing revenue opportunities for the company. He also initially began his career at BPS where he carried out energy analysis and the redesigning of power infrastructure for commercial and industrial facilities to provide energy and cost saving solutions.
Before Beacon Power Services, he was responsible for building the Engineering team at Rensource Energy and deploying solar mini-grids under the Energizing Economies Initiative (EEI) in partnership with REA.
Sominabo is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with an MBA in General Management from Ajayi Crowther University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Port Harcourt. He is also a member of the ExJam Association, an alumni association for ex-students of Airforce Military School, Jos where he has held multiple State and National Executive positions.
